‘Mr Sex’: This is what you DON’T do on the verge of your wedding
A bit of a setback for Ireland’s Most Romantic Couple. Click that link, and be prepared for possibly the greatest opening paragraph in the history of newspaper reportage. I love the use of the word ‘may’, as if a committee is about to meet and say “Ah, fair play to him, he bought her some flowers in a garage after he wiped his hands down, but. And a packet of Revels”

The penultimate paragraph starts of pretty beautifully as well...
And they say that romance is dead!
i particularly liked "the couple beat off competition", more appropriate words have never been used!
Anon 1 beat me to it. "He beat off stiff competition" - that choice of words was definitely deliberate. Fair play to the journalist for getting it in!
